  • Arusha: The gateway to Tanzania’s Northern wildlife parks, Arusha is also an eclectic town that melds local Tanzanian as well as European influences. Often called the “Switzerland of Africa”, Arusha has beautiful museums and art galleries, as well as places to shop for local artwork (paintings, sculptures, masks) as well as jewelry (TANZANITE, etc.)
  • Ngorongoro Conservation Area: Often called “The Garden of Eden” because of the variety and density of wildlife, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most breathtaking places in the world. It has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site – for good reason.
  • Serengeti National Park: In the Maasai language, “Serengeti” means “Endless Plains”. And that is exactly what this most famous of African parks is…a very large savannah/grassland area that is teeming with all the iconic African wildlife species living in an unadulterated, natural habitat. The location of several National Geographic shows and specials, Serengeti is also home to The Great Wildebeest & Zebra Migration!
  • Zanzibar: Stone Town is the historical area of Zanzibar – with its rich culture sites, museums, markets, historical buildings, and of course the world-famous wooden doors that adorn some of the oldest buildings on the island. Besides Stone Town, Zanzibar is known for its beaches and warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, which are some of the most spectacular in the world. There is great diving and snorkeling in the area that includes other islands within the archipelago as well.
